New York's Metropolitan Art Museum |
An art museum-even a world-class one like New York's Metropolitan Art Museum would seem to be an odd place for a musical instrument collection. Having said that I was pleasantly surprised to find an excellent historical music instrument collection including some outstanding examples of 17th, 18th, and 19th century guitars.
Below are photos I made of some of the guitars at a spring 2010 visit of the Metropolitan Art Museum.
