I completed a digital music project entitled 'Britannia'. It is essentially a "concept" album based on impressions of a recent trip to Great Britain. It is now available on the Soundcloud website: 'Britannia'
It is an instrumental album featuring a composition process know as "realization". Realization is a musical composition that has been completed or enriched by someone other than the composer. In this case I utilized royalty-free musical library of fragments and arranged them into a new and original piece of music.
I added necessary original musical elements, melodies, bass lines, and strings to fill out the final product. The music software I used is Sony Acid Pro Music, a loop-based program and mastered in on Sony Sound Forge.
It is hard
to define what 'genre' this music would be classified under. It is a mixture of easy listening, slightly
eclectic, light classical, ambient, cinematic, and chill-out music. The music
is a reflection of places I visited in Great Britain.
This recording is not
something that might be consider commercial music or music for the masses. It
is ideal for one seeking quiet, reflective, or meditative music.
